Where'd you go?

The one who brought delight

Who vexed misery

Who kept me company.

All the warmth of a way you spoke

The love your eyes radiated

Was progressingly complicating itself

In my mind made up of demons.

Eating away the day and resting when

The sun refused to appear.

When the sentiments of human life rested and

When matter was over mind

I killed you.

Because where were you

On the worst of days

When the world fell on my shoulders?

I realised

My expectations failed me, Hearing of your ignorance.

Your presence was always dead

Alive only in my hollow head.

Maybe I cherished your absence

Or Maybe I resented it,

Who knows ?

I don't.
